  • Opinions on JD Quik Trak

Has anyone used the John Deere Quik Trak? The JD dealer stated that this mower has the best built deck (7 iron) on the market. He also stated that the cut is second to none. Are his points valid or merely a sales pitch. This particular model is a 48", 19 horse.

Everybody's product is the best, Now how is he going to prove it is the best machine for you and for your money?

I have used a 7 iron deck on a 777, I liked the machine, but IMHO it did't stripe as well as I would have liked. And the said machine seemed a little underpowered (27hp LC Kaw)

I'm curious myself because I'm looking at the same machine 48" 19HP in a stand up model. I live in a small town with onloy 2 dealers so my options are limited.

I thought the 48" would work nice in smaller yards but I'm nervous about the 19hp. It is a demo with 15 hrs and he is asking $4800.

I'm also considering a 60" z-track with a 23 hp for $7100. The other dealer in town sells cub cadet and walker. THe walker is in the $10,000 range.

I think JD is really pushing the commercial business and don't sell junk.

For me, the dealer's ability to provide good service is equally important.
