  • What do you use? Computer Programs

I am interested in what program other companies use to keep all their customer information, along with routes and specific information about particular customers. Please email me and let me know the program you use and why you like it so much, or if you wish you had purchased a different program.

    Thanks

    Matt

I use quickbooks to keep all information. it will keep track of your customers info as well as financial info. it also has a notes section for items that are not listed that you would like to keep track of. i love it and it works great for what i need. i recommend getting the pro edition at least so you can enter estimates into the database. hope this helps.

I use Quickbooks pro, too. The only thing it doesn't do on it's own is the routing stuff. There are modules you can buy that will do that and the contractor edition of quickbooks may have that in it... I'm not sure but you can check it out online at

Me too: Quickbooks Pro 2004. It takes some degree of skill to set it up and run, but all the skills you gain are essential for running a legit business, such as properly accounting of income and expenses, making invoices and estimates, and customer data information.

Other programs will do it, but QB Pro was highly recommended to me and I've been very pleased with it.

As I've said before, Look at Groundskeeper Pro. It is a simple to use program, doesn't require a fast computer and only costs around 350.00. I've been using it for about three years now and haven't had any problems. You input all your customers information, whether or not you charge sales tax on a perticular service or product and thats about it. It makes really nice invoices( some of my customers have commented how professional they look). Go to their web site and try their demo. I don't think you will be dissapointed. It does everything from billing and routing to a simple expense reports. I have about 80 clients and it keeps all the imformation easy to get any time I need it.

I switched to GKP this year and I really like it a lot. I still use MS Money for accounting.
