    jlyons,

I'll tell you, I know how you feel. We gave a man a bid of $300 per month to do his yard: mow, edge, weedeat, trim bushes and seed twice a year on a one year contract and he said no way that he could get all of that from another contracter for $220 a month. [:0] That is $55 a week. It would take at least 2 hours to do this guy's lawn. (lot of obsticals, including a swing set, and many bushes)

There would be no way we could go that low.

When you find out how to compete let me know. []

I did ask him for the name of the LCO. I think I will try to keep track of that guy.

A 60-62" ZTR could mow that in a little more than an hour.

It would be nice to get $1.00/1k sq ft but even at $.75/square foot or about $95/service I would take as many of these jobs as possible.

As usual CCLS has his head in the clouds for NO ONE would ever fork over $180 to mow and TRIM a lousy 3 acres of turf.

From some of the HELP given in this forum one would have to believe that many have no actual experience in this business.

I'm with Stone on this one. I agree on ALL of it!
