I'm looking at the echo pb 603 and the 650. I like the 603 better becauese of the tube mount throttle but the 650 has the power. The tube mount 650 isn't available anywhere near me as of now. How do you guys like these blowers for those of you who use them? Will a backpack blower make my life easier($350.00 easier) over a hand held which I currently have? Do they make leaf jobs easier? In general, if money is somewhat tight, will it be worth the investment? I have a 5500 sq ft property tommorrow that hasn't had any leaves picked up from last year and I'm dreading it. I hate bagging, blowing, picking up leaves period, but the money can be good. Will I be glad in the future that I bought it or am I wasting my money for one job? I need to know today(Monday) because the sale is over after today. Thanks for your input.

Im telling you right now it will be one of the best equipment upgrades you can do for the money. Last year I used a Stihl handheld and thought it was great. For leaf season last year I knew this wouldn't cut it and since I saw all the big LCO's using backpacks I knew what I had to do. I got the pb-650 and it blow me away on what I was missing in time, money, and power. Instead of using the zig zag way with the handheld I could just walk straight and evey thing would be blown away with the backpack. This thing moves every thing from wet leaves, to heavy accorns, to stuck itchy balls, and its easy to clear debris under shrubs nd bushes. It does such an effecient job I plan on getting another when the money comes up! Deffinitly get the 650!

The 603 is 58.2 cc and the 650 is 63.3 cc's. I would think not much power difference but I may be wrong. Like I said the 603 has the tube mounted throttle which definitely appeals to me. Thanks for your opinion Really Well Cut. I appreciate it. I have until 5:30 to make my decision. I'm still 50/50. I just spent 3500.00 bucks on a spray rig and fert so this is why i'm a little hesitant.

I just bought the 603 and have used it twice so far on big clean ups. LOVE IT! I too looked at the 650 but money was tight at the time and I was told the 603 will get the job done. Today I did a clean up and there was a brick laying in the yard. Just curious I decided to give it a blow to see if it will move the brick......sure enough, slid the brick a short distance and almost turned it on its side! Im happy with my purchase

Can't offer any words of wisdom when it comes to Echo equipment because all we use is Stihl. I currently own a Stihl BP-420 blower and love it. Cranks every time on the same number of pulls and definately has enough power to blow clear anything that happens to get in it's way. And it has the controls on the tube which seemed to be your preference. It would be safe to assume that the BP-420 is equivalent in power to the 650 or the 750.
The purchase of a good blower is definately worth the money. There is a reason all those LCO's you saw were using backpack blowers.

I have the Pb-603. It is great! The 650 put's out around 50ccf more at the tube, but to me it wasn't worth the extra $100. I just finished a property that was a full acre and it ran like a champ. If only the wind hadn't been so finicky that day. You'll have no regrets with the 603....good luck
