Me and partner...
with one worker have done up to 24 medium to large size lawns in a day. That's hustling from about 8:30am to 7pm. On average we shoot for 15-18 lawns a day. We would do 3 lawns in a row (meaning they're neighbors) totaling about 2.5-3 acres, in about 1hr50m, just to get an idea of lawn size. Our average lawn is 1/4-1/2 acre. 36, 48, weedwacker, edger.

When I was in High School I worked for a company and we would knock out 20 lawns in 7 hours ranging from 3/4-1.5 acres. We used a 52" WB and a 52" Rider and yours truly trimmed. It was an amazing experience which my company will never perform. Customer turnover from season to season was horrendous. Customers don't mind paying reasonable rates as long as they get some face time with there contractor. You have to have a relationship with your customers to an extent. There is a LCO who used to do 3 lawns across from one of mine and I sat in my truck one day when he was there and he did 3 1/2 acre lots in 2.5 minutes a piece. Needless to say by the next week they were my accounts. The faster you go the more damage you cause to the lawn as well as the relationship you have with your customer.
