  • Per hour pricing

In most cases when I do repair jobs; replacing sod where someone did a lawn job, replacing a sprikler head and other such small jobs. I would in most cases bid it by the job, figure out the cost of material and how much I can do the job for. Currently I am being asked to submit a general hourly price for my services. My Question is: How much do you guys charge for such services per man hour? I am guessing that I pay my two employess around 10 per hour each, so would it be out of line to charge 20 per man hour each? Do you think I am to high or to low?

    Thanks for any input,
    Bryan

I'm new but as I read the post I see the that the going rate per man hour is $30-$40 per man hour charged to customer, depending on the area you live . Now I will add to this that sprinkler guys (my brother) charges $75.00 min 2 hours for repairs. But thats his profession and he can get that all day long, according to him. It doesnt take long to pop a riser on a sprinkler head or to screw it back on, so I dont see how $150 would be paid. But if you are going to install riser make sure you get you a pvc cutter and T handle to jam in the riser to twist it out.. It will make your repairs a lot easier..Again I'm new I hope that helps. I'm sure others will chime in, with detailed information.

$35-$40 per man hour or more depending on the difficulty and type of labor involved with the job.
