Do any of you use lead sheets? I need some sort of question form for my secretary to use as a reference when talking to possible clients. Does anyone have any ideas on how much info. each sheet should have. Name, address, phone #,type of service, spouse's name?, appointment time and date. Am I missing something?

First of all, congratulations on having a secretary. My secretary consists of an answering machine. What I would do, and what I do do (not doodoo) when I talk to prospects on the phone is this: Name, address, phone number, type of service they want. If it's only maintenance, then you can bid that w/o them being there. If they want landscaping, then she needs to set up an appointment. I always like to meet with the prospect so they can see that the owner of the company cares enough to come out and look at the project.
Good luck,

Be sure to track the lead. In other words find out how they heard about your service. If it's a referral from another customer that's valuable because they also probably know how much you charge them which is not usually a big problem unless you've had them for 10 years and they are underpriced compared to new customers.Bob Kessler
