just wondering how everyone is doing on flyer response at this point in the game.
i've put out around 1500 and picked up 4 new accounts. i've seen lots more people cutting their own yards around here. could it be the high cost of everything?

it's still early and will continue to advertise until may.

i'm waiting for my doorhangers to come in. Should be in within a day or two. Gonna hand them out all day Thursday and Friday hopefully.

We've put out about 800 - 1000 so far. Got 5 weekly customers and about 5 1 time jobs. Starting this week, we're putting out 3000/wk until Sept.

There's only 1 real competitor in our market area and then scrubs. The one competitor is over priced (really) and people are tired of unreliable kids and scrubs so our response has been quite good. Plus, our door hangers have prices so when people call, they're ready to sign up.

I havent put any doorhangers out, just a two person operation here, mow about 75 lawns a week along with mulching and other odd jobs. Good luck to those that are looking for more work.

I put 1200 out 2 weeks ago. I am averaging 5 to 6 calls a day. 75% of the calls are for mulch.

I saw a flyer for another LCO He was advertising 40 to 50 percent less than any other Mowing company in my area. Man that burns me up. And I know this is a lie. He had called me earlier in the spring and asked me my prices. (this is his first year)

I gave him last years prices $1 per minute (which I have increased due to Gas Prices).

He won't be here next year if he charges 40 percent less than me.

Around the NE things were delayed because of snow cover ... springs cleanups should have started a week ago. No sign of flyers yet

Hey phil here in CT we have clear sky's and clear lawns it's 60 degrees and boy does it feel great i have 1000 fliers going out over the next 2 days. I should be the 1st lco beatin the pavement i haven't seen anyone else out yet.

Calls are starting to come in steadily! I'm kepping prices up and weed'n out the ****ty properties. I like nice neighborhoods with nice paying customers.
