  • Fertilizer Pricing Help

Does anyone have a formula for pricing fertilizer? I have an opportunity to bid 1 acre and would like to know what to charge.

For your bid consider the ammount of time and money you have in your licence, your insurance cost, your time, equipment and material to do the job.
Don't have a licence? Consider the HUGE fine you will get at a minimum for applying pesticides commercially (read: sub it out if not licenced).

For one acre the fertilizer would cost me $71.55 w/ tax. I normally charge $125/acre. I might be a little on the high side, but that's okay. I don't have a shortage of customers, and if they're willing to pay my rates I'm willing to work.

My pricing works on this structure: X dollars for first 5,000 sf and X dollars per 1,000 sf after that . Know your costs, and make sure you are licensed. That first $5,000 fine might sting a little, otherwise.

If its truely an acre.....triple the square footage(I do times 3.5) and that'll give you your price.
