Moss Control Order

Just curious, what order do you like to do moss control? Cut the lawn short, dethatch (power rake) then the moss killer application or killer before dethatching? Also do you like to aerate first or dethatch first on a lawn you are doing both too?

Apply moss control 1st and then thatch out the dead moss with the old grass. I don't think it matters whether you thatch or aerate first. If you have anybody who objects to the plugs being left on top, then aerate first and then thatch. Afterwards, apply lime if you live with acid soils.

If you slit seed after thatching/aerating, then apply lime and a controled release fertilizer.
