I power wash mine and no problems.

everytime and across the whole machine? Do you regrease after everytime? I just feel that there is the chance of pushing it all out of the joints.

Maybe you have your deck too low. Have you tried raising it a little?

I power wash the underside of my deck nightly. I remove the blade before hand and after it dries I WD40 the bottom of the spindles. On scags there aren't any places to lose grease out of the bottom of the deck so I am kind of confused on that matter. All of the joints I've found and zirks I've found are above and under the seat. None of which get powerwashed. I am really curious about the two blade thing though. I have both a 48" scag tiger cub and a 61"wildcat with gator blade and have noticed the shredding in nice fescue lawns. I'm very open to hearing about other ideas and blades to use. Thanks guys!

Great responce to this question. Thank you all. The cut is much better now and I will try to powerwash it this weeked. Why do you take the blades off to powerwash?

Please be advised that the cub cadets, thou I do not own one have a connection on the top of the deck, to connect a water hose. With the provided connection adapter you deck hook it up, turn it on and follow the instructions for the cleaning of`the cutting chamber.

I run Gators on top and I do not have a problem with clumping on my Dixie Chopper. Keep the deck clean and don't cut too low.

i have a 2year old honda hrr216 self propelled mower, twin blade system. the underdeck gets glogged with finely chopped grass either with the mulching plug on or the bag on. i have to stop every 15 minutes or so to clean the underdeck because it kills the engine. what should i do? thank you

I dont have anything with double blades. I go thru them fast enough one at a time. I' never had to clean the deck on the JDs..

Some wet grass sticks to 7-iron decks in the am but as it dries they pretty well clean themselves. Crab grass is comming in now and it likes to ball up and look like crap. The buckhorns are getting tougher to cut.
