I have a customer on lake front property.Loves the grass on the property and so do the geese. Besides getting a dog or a gun, any other solutions to rid the geese. A landscaper suggested a grass that geese don't like ?Anyone heard of this?Any suggestions?

When I was working at a PGA course they used to periodically set off these insanely loud whistling bottle rocket type things. Scared the hell out of the geese and after a while they all but disappeared. I imagine if your client did that or threw a few M80s their direction each morning the geese would pack up and leave.
Not that any of that is legal in NJ....

It depends how serious the problem is. A qualified pest control company should be able to take care of it. I had a customer next to a wildlife area and he was able to solve the problem. See if the birds are there at night, if they are then they prolly have nests on the property (makes the problem a lot harder). They also had some hazing with some lazers and applied a chemical to the grass that kept them off the grass. I dont recall the name but their is a product on the market. hope that helps.....--- Chris

Had same problem with a apartment complex...Lots of geese and Seagulls
Biggest problem...The person feeding them
She was a COP with a Sour attitude and an ego the size of the Moon.
So the geese stayed and I stayed out of jail...Yes she said she would arest me if I did anything to a bird.
BTW I was the manager of the apartment complex...thank god I was only temp at that place.
