Laying sod

I was wondering how to bid this job. I need to lay about 1100sqft of sod. I need to prepare the soil by tilling it. How long do you think this would take with two people.

Are you tilling before or after irrigation (you ARE doing irrigation)? There are too many variables for a clean cut answer. (laid out 86 pallets (600 sq-ft/pallet) over the last two days with 6 guys)

just yesterday had to install 2 pallets around a walkway we just finished(130 yards = 1170 sq feet) on bare soil.
3 guys, lots of cuts and edges, 3hours, including cleanup.

I bet their backs were hurting at the end of the day....did you use the giant rolls. My sod distributer sells 48" wide 30 sq yd rolls. And they also let you borrow the equipment to put it down.
