  • Quick36 question

Hey guys, I'm seriously looking at the Quick36 because I want to start a part time lawn care business When I order it I want to get the service kit, bagger(for fall cleanups) and the mulching kit and gator blades :p My question is is it worth it to get the striping roller kit or does it stripe nicely with out it? BTW im getting the super duty one

Hey dude, I live in Schenectady area 25 mins from you and bought one last year.... the thing stripes nice as is. Depends on exactly what kind of striping you're looking for though. There is visible striping when the grass is cut 2.5+ inches but sure bet if the roller was added it'd be even better.

Does that model come w/ the hour meter - I don't recall? If not I'd get that, too.

Thanks Jeff, It does come with the hour meter and if it stripes good as is I probably wont spend the extra money. How do you like yours?I've read nothing but good reviews on it!

It has worked out great for me... priced right and fits exactly into the scope of my business - I also do this part-time. It may not be suitable for every lawn and is obviously not designed to be profitable on every lawn since it is only 36" but based on my business "plan" and the properties I'm marketing it is perfect.

I wouldn't hesitate on the purchase unless you have 4 or 5 grand to spend on an equivilent product. Gary from better has been great and stands behind his product.

The only word of advice I'd give is to sharpen, sharpen, sharpen those damn gator blades.... I wish there were a better alternative. This year [and I shouldn't complain] has been wet and the grass has kept a relatively lush growth most of the summer - gators SUCK in lush growth. But once you get used to how to set up the mower based on "best" practice it's all good.

        Hope this helps.
