  • 36" Uneven Cut

I've been reading this site for several months and have found it to be really helpful. Thanks to everyone for your insight and humor.
I have a 36" hydro Snapper and it's leaving a "step" effect on a few of my lawns. The tire pressure is correct on both sides and I've verified the height of both blades. I use a grass catcher per the request of my clients. Any ideas what would cause this to happen, and how to remedy the problem?

Is it the catcher getting heavy and tilting the deck to one side?

Not to my Knowledge. It is the floating Deck.

Please be advised that floating decks will tilt more than fixed w/catchers.

Please check that blade tips are not rounded, that gator or serrated blades are not being used and that blades are the correct length.

Tires that come out of diifferent molds, or tires from the same mold at different times may be of different size. The molds wear as they age. Check the height or better yet the curcumference of each tire and air them up accordingly to match sizes. I require 13.5 in one tire and 15.5 in the other to make them match heights. Keeping the pressures equal had one side cutting higher than the other until I did this.
