I'm just wondering if anyone has ever tried telemarketing and how well it works... i know if one ever calls my house i hang the phone on them... just thinking of opening the phone book and giving it a go... do you need a license?? i know there is some sort of list you can get on to where they are liable for a lawsuit if they call...

Yeah probably NOT a good idea. Would you want someone you dont know calling you up and asking if you wanted you lawn services? Its a proven fact people DO NOT like telemarketing. I would highly recommend that you DO NOT just call numbers from the phone book. If they happen to be on the Kansas No Call list and you call them you better be ready pay them several thousand dollars.
Stick with honest advertising please.

...does anyone like telemarketing?? - no... yet telemarketers still exist and end up selling so some way it does work
i think i will stay away from it as that no call list is probably not a good thing to get in trouble with

I have a friend who lives here in North Fl in the business. He's been telemarketing tools & shop supplies for over 20 years now. He has 20 people calling all over the country. It's been real good to him. I think he gets a lot of repeat business, customers even calling in orders.
Being here in a small town I've heard every rumor in the world about what's going on in his office. But he has always been on the level. Some of his employees are making a nice living by the looks of their homes & autos.
I think I'll just keep on cutting grass.
