Tmobile family plan w/3 phones on it. $69 1000min, free mobile to mobile, unlimated nights, weekends, and long distance.

My wife has 5000 mins for $129 and all the above mentioned

Cingular... 49.00 plus taxes... comes to about 60 a month ... i get 600 anytime .. unlimited nights and weekends.. free mobil to mobil... which includes m to m to at&t users and rollover min

Personally I think if the phone is going to be used the majority of the time in your home calling area you are better off going with a local service that is in affiliation with one of the big boys. The local guys almost always have an unlimited minute deal going around here.

I have unlimited minutes anytime of the day to anywhere in the country from my home area which is very large, and 300 roam minutes which I rarely ever come close to using all for $50/month. I got this plan a couple years ago with Suncom which has since become Cingular, but I got to keep the plan.

You can get the same deal with local provider Intelos in VA right now. The only catch is they rape you on roaming, but if it's your primary local phone I think unlimited minutes is the way to go.

BTW, I haven't had a land line phone in my house in years. Cell phone and cable internet.
