Was $2.59 yesterday, this morning, $2.78. Labor Day is always a peak in the summer prices, but this Huricane is a great excuse for them to hike it even more. The short and long term effects of refinery shut downs will have the prices up thru heating season, then it will be the "summer demand" thing all over again.

I just got off the phone with a friend who has a relative in the office at a large gasoline company. They just said that gasoline in the midwest will jump around 50 cents tomorrow. We will see just how accurate he is. Time will tell.

Best of luck and with skyrocketing fuel costs, keep a close eye on your bottom line.

Heard a bit on the news tonight,,, Bush has made a statement in regards to tapping our reserve. Its a option i understand. What exactly will that do? Anybody know?

it was suggested in such a manner it would relieve consumers.

$2.62 yesterday (and still some today).

On the way home, I saw a couple stations at $2.84. Premium was over $3.00.

Tapping oil reserves will help a little, but refining is our bottleneck. Until those refineries get up and running full bore, gas will be high.

Anyone want to buy a Silverado and/or a Suburban?? I think I am going to steal one of Erichs Frontiers!

All I can say is get up early and try to find a station that has not raised their prices yet. Local Hess is still $2.73 for regular, while right down the street regular is now $3.29/gal ($3.49 premium and $3.15 diesel). Tap Alaska and fire up the refineries.

Moving this to Commercial Lawn Service Forum...

I think the rising price of gas is definately something to talk about!

Yesterday it was $2.71 for regular,
I wonder what it will be before the end of the day?

                    PS: Forum Member dvon104,

I have a tourney this weekend. I am really wondering what the #s will be like. Fields get any smaller and our checks won't even cover the fuel...

Can't wait to fill 2-30 gallon tanks w/ premium, let alone the truck that gets 10mpg.

i filled up yesterday for 2.48 a gallon. today as i drove about 3.09 was the lowest i found. the price of everything will jump if something is not done. everything relies on petroleum. if the truckers have to pay more to get stuff to us, then they inturn raise their prices and it gets passed on down the line. won't be long and a gallon of milk will be $10 if things don't change
