  • Good price on WB?

I have a chance to pick up a demo model Exmark 36" Viking WB w/ Mulch Kit installed for $3500. I was the 5th demo (so the dealer says) on the machine and everything seems to run fine. Is this a good price? or should I look elsewhere...the pricing he gave me on a brand new one is $3795, plus $275 for the mulch kit. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

things to know, what kind of shape is it in, How many hours are on it. and was it lent out for day use to get people to buy it. not everyone uses machine the same. its the mulch kit already on it? I dont know but it seems to me unless it rarely went out for use the price is high. usually those things go out often to get folks to buy them. good luck shoal

You did not mention if it was a belt or Hydro drive. However, the price fro a demo seems a bit steep. I would definitely loo around some more. I know for a fact in my area I coul pick up the same setup for around 3k total Hydro too!

I paid $3700 for a Toro 48" hydro with a Rack em aluminum catcher and new blades. This machine was a demo. I'm waiting for the same dealer to offer me the new 52" Toro at a demo price.

My demo lasted about an hour...they don't let people just take the machine for half a day, but he said there was only 5 demos on it. It appears to be in good shape. It's a Viking Hydro. Don't know the hours...no hour meter. Yes, the mulch kit is installed. If $3500 is too steep, what should I offer him? I'm sure I could negotiate I spend about $1500/ month at his business.

No not all of the machines come with hour meters. In my area that same machine would sell near that price for a demo. Plus a demo machine comes with a full warranty, Most problems will develope in the first few hours of operation

Offer 3350 or 3500 with a sulkey and an add-on hour meter.

Id Look around. if its not hydro, i would definatly look else where. I am VERY happy with my Quick 36, got hydro, 16hp, grass catcher, hr meter, and multch kit for under 3k, and thats brand new. I would give their webpage a good read before going with a demo,, just my op.. good luck

Problems that I can forsee with the Quick 36: 1) No dealer support, 2) Mulching kit won't work worth snot and 3) Single hydro means you have to muscle it around corners and not truly ZTR.

                    Right here. https://www.lescodirect.com/ProdCata...SKUGroupID=278

Lesco 48" Hydro floating deck. List $3700, but if you go to Lesco and open a contractor account I bet you can get it for $3500. That Exmark is overpriced.

for that price I would have to have a meter. and by the way you could never know what the total hrs are on it. If you do buy it put a hour meter on it. maybe Jack can send you one :-0 shoal
