  • Welding accesories to trailer?

What are the pros and cons of welding accessories such as trimmer racks, and blower hooks to a landscape trailer? Is it better to bolt the accessories on?

    Thanks for any help.

If you have a welder, and know exactly where you want them, it's a plus to weld 'em on.

The trailers themselves are welded together...

However if you have some reason to think you might want to move things around or change configurations in the future, like possibly upgrade to a bigger trailer and install the racks, etc on the new trailer, bolting them on with lock washers would be ok ...

Even if it`s welded you could always cut them off with a torch or air cutting tool....

Either way is fine in my opinion, and the choice is up too you...

I Made All My Racks Out Of Stainless And Have Them Welded On. No Regrets. Only Things That Aren't Welded Is The Stuff I Made Out Of Aluminum.

The pros and cons are both the same...

          Pros... It won't come off.
          Cons... It won't come off.

We got our trimmer rack welded to the trailer, and it's on there good as well as a rake rack (that was designed lousy and caused the wind to break every handle except the shovels). I love how it's on there, but we had to change to a Triple Crown rack for our new equipment, and wound up bolting it onto the other side as the old rack is now part of the trailer. Actually... I think I'll use the old rack to create a newer better rake rack.

The one bad thing about bolting on is if you run across a thief with half a brain they could get the whole rack off and you lose all your gear (and the rack) in one shot. Luckily most of them aren't that bright.
