  • Redhawk W/b Mowers

Got My First Issue Of Turf Magazine The Other Day And Saw Some Walk Behinds Carrying A Redhawk Brand Name. I'm Not Interested In One But Just Wondering If Anyone Knows Anything About Them. By Looks Of The Pictures They Look A Little On The Cheap Side.
    Thanks,
    Larry

I Just Checked Out There Website. Looked Like Junk. 1 Year Warranty. Only Specs Given Was Engine Brand & H.p. Along With The Number & Length Of Blades. Also Had An Owners Manual To Check Out--have Been More Impressed With The Manuals That Come With The 20" Murray's.

Man, It Is Hard Type And Capitalize The First Letter Of Each Word. I Had To Hit The Backspace Key At Least 30 Times In 2 Sentences.

Other than that, I have no opinion on the mower. I have never heard of it. What is their website address?

I've seen alot of them showing up on ebay... They look rather cheap to me. They advertise "Commercial quality at a great price", but their prices look about the same as eXmark. No thanks.

I think my next WB (maybe coming soon) is gonna be a Country Clipper. They are well built with Kawasaki engines, floating decks, and I like the way the deck swings out for maintenance rather than climbing under. My local dealer is selling them for less than eXmark/Toro fixed deck models. I was really impressed by them at the dealerships here.

        Website for redhawk is: www.redhawk-usa.com

I looked at them. They are made in CHINA and imported by an american company. That's a long way to send parts if, or should I say when you break one.

I've been looking at them more just because I'm gonna need a 36" wb next year, and I've seen some selling them for $1899. They are also sold under the Havener/Bradley name. Not sure about parts availability, but it looks like it uses standard Toro/Exmark components. The only thing I'm wary of is the 15HP Kohler engine. We have the 18HP version of that engine on our ZTR, and though it's lasted two years and never failed to run it does has some issues like bogging down in heavy grass, and a loud rattle that sounds like a valve needs replacing. The Kawasaki 13HP on the Exmark seems stronger, and hasn't had so much as a hiccup after 3 years of use.

I'm checking everything out to find the best deal. Don't really much care about name as they all do about an equal job, but I am hoping to find a good deal on one with a Kaw engine. Probably wind up spending $2400 on a Lesco or $2600 on a Gravely. I really want to look at Country Clipper, but the one dealer that had them just stopped selling them, and I can't find another. :-(

I doubt the parts would be as hard to find as you'd think. On that particular design, many other mower manufacturers use the same parts on their models. I.E. traction control levers, transmissions, enigines, pulleys, belts, etc. As long as your mechanically inclined you should be fine locating parts when the time arises.

Bradley/ redhawk mowers are practically the same units as the walkbehinds that landscaper pro sells. Landscaper Pro sells all the parts for their models in their catalog.

Dude... You are my hero... I spent the last 2 days doing websearches trying to find those Landscaper Pro mowers. I saw one of their ads in a magazine last year, and could not remember what company it was. I found the page last night, but I wasn't sure if it was them until you mentioned the mowers.

                Thank you.
