This is my first year out....ive done mostly mowing but got a couple install type jobs (mulch, seed etc). I am not full time yet....i only work about 15-20 hrs per week. I project to make about $35,000 gross. So if you were going full time....double what i work it, would probably be more about $70,000 gross (in my case atleast). Remember it is a gross number though...from that you must subtract taxes, truck payments, equipment costs, gas and everything else.

Thanks Bowmans. I'm in Ohio so we face the same climate year round. The biggest difference between our states is the fact that Ohio State has a much better football team. (had to throw that in there) Are those numbers based on mowing and installs only or does that include snow removal in the winter?

those numbers are just mowing and installs....this will be my first year with snow removal but i expect my mowing numbers to realitive to the snow removal numbers. With that said a "full service" working 40-45 hrs per week year round in our type climate should make somewhere in the $85k-105k gross. By the way....im not a Michigan fan anyway (i perfer State...and i might say they are looking pretty good this year)

Agreed State is looking good. 61 points against anyone is impressive. Thanks for your data, that should help me out with my forcasting.

Bowmans, what part of Mich. are you from? I work in MI but live in the northern part of IN. South Bend area, and yes State is very impressive. Hart braking loss to my boys at home. State is the real deal and some teams are going to find that out. Ks.. do your boys play state this year? Ok.. to the question, I"m a teacher doing this part time finishing my first season. Now running 25-27 weekly and some deck jobs this summer I"m going to gross around 25,000 working about 25-30hrs a week.
