  • Stihl BR 600

Today, I ran a 600 and was impressed stihl has always been lagging in the department of handtools suck as weedies and blowers, but i have to say there newer lines are nice,600 kills the remax 7000 but not quite as much as the 8000 also very happy with the shinidiwa 650 i believe? heard it is made by redmax true ??? feed back would be nice

Please note that the Shin EB8510 is the newest entry to the Blower Wars.

Jack D. owns several blowers and rates them as follows.

    Redmax 8000
    Stihl BR600
    Echo 650/750
    Redmax 7001

These are the only units currently worth consideration.

No doubt, that machine is a beast. Most powerful on the market. Has to be heavy though.

I'm currently considering this, as Echo makes superior power equipment that lasts and rarely has problems.... Tried & True

Really? What do they dislike about them? I always thought they made a great product, at least i've had good luck with them.

Do they prefer Shin or Redmax or somethin? Just curious, maybe theres advantages other blowers have over the Echo units...I dunno.

Please be advised that these 2 Echo blowers, a 6001 and 602 are 10 and 12 years old respectively, have worked every single season of their lives and have needed nothing more than new starter ropes, duct tape on the tubes and strap repairs.

Please be advised that these 12 year old units are more powerful than a 2005 Stihl BR420 Magnum.

They also were not purchased at Home Depot.
