  • Tree Job?

I am planting about 90 Thuja Green Giants as a border around a subdivision and need help. How do I price the job? I need to give several estimates with different size trees. (ex. 1'-2' trees, 4'-'5 treses etc.) Should I charge per tree? The ground is fairly rough has trenches and ruts throughout, in other words, it's not just flat ground. Do I need to bring in topsoil? I was also thinking about planting the tree in new topsoil along with pete moss. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Use bare root or trees from a local nursery to try to match the soil conditions as close as possible. Do not amend the soil around the root ball unless you are going to amend the entire site. Different soils have different water potential.

well ,since your putting a "screen in I would dig a trench for however long it has to be and then plant the trees...next i put a 60% markup on materials and thats what i would charge for the job say you spend 2,000 in material then i would charge 4400.00 for the job
