  • For the Riff Raff Who Think that All Leaves Can be Mulched.

Jack D. believes strongly in mulching, however, there are scenarios where blowers, tarp and loader is much quicker. In fact there are scenarios where it is the only viable option.

Many of the riff raff who live in areas with a girly amount of trees don't seem to comprehend this fact.

Please note that this is one week of leaves on a turf are of Under 1k sq. ft.. There are three massive Maples and one Oak on or overhanging this prop.

This is the backyard. Jack D. knows there is just dirt. Thank you for not pointing it out. The owner is having difficulty growing grass as there is Zero Sun when the leaves are on the trees.

This is the front. The pile shown is Four Feet Wide and consists of One Week of leaves after a serious wind storm. Please be advised that as a semi retired High Class Scrub, Jack D. completed this $120 job in 25 minutes.

    This cannot be mulched.

      What?

What is the HP of that Roll a Round blower? I can't see it that well is that a Honda Engine on it? The fuel tank looks like one but black?

If you have a lawn saturated with leaves the roll a round is the way to move them. Push n Pull!

It looked like a pretty obvious situation to use blowers as most of the leaves were interlocked between trees and a fence and it was a small yard with no grass.

For what it's worth, (after you make that pile) if you take a mulching Toro 21", you can mulch that pile of leaves down enough to fill 2 garbage cans, maybe just over 1 can. Or just pile them on a tarp after mulched. It will take about 5 minutes tops.

Especially with those types of leaves.

Thats what I do. Mulch them up and pick up what I have to. Takes up much less space.

              Mr. Skaper is insane.

This pile is 30 ft long, 4 ft. high and 4 ft. wide.

              Mr. Skaper is Bonkers.

Should Jack D. mulch this Mountain of Leaves with a 21" Proline or suck it up w/his 27hp Loader.

              Hmmmm.

I'd drop the hose on the truck loader & be done in minutes. Only way to get em gone.

What hose? I don't see a hose on the job. Skaper is not insane. I agree Jack could be done with the mulching and filling two bags or cans and have them loaded in short order. How long will it take to load the blowers leave the job, go get the vehicle with the leaf loader, get back and do the pick up? My guess is they are at the street for city pick up anyway, judging by some of the other photos. In that case three or four passes with a 36 w/b with block off plate and front of deck held slightly off the ground will reduce the pile by about ten and help keep it from blowing back in to the yard if the winds come before the city trucks do.

I've had em just as high and mulched em down with very little to take away. He's not crazy. Leaves are dry particles unlike grass that is full of chlorophyll. Goes away much easier. WHen their wet, looks like fresh soil from Hawaii. Its great for the soil. Do that and aerate heavily and make money!

Jack D. knows exactly what it would take to knock down that pile w/a mulching mower.

                          Jack D. prefers to load.

Jack D. knows when to Load 'em and knows when to Mulch 'em.

That pile doesn't look 4 foot high for one thing and it wasn't that tall to begin with. Thats one big a$$ blower if that pile is 4 foot high.

That grass in your backyard you mulched with "one pass" was higher than that pile of leaves.

I wanna watch your head explode!! :0
