That mower would go for about $400 on ebay. For what theyre asking you would be able to find a used 1999 -2001 perhaps . That one appears early 90s ,,, maybe even late 80s?

Bobcat Ransomes/ Bunton,,,,, all the same . All fine mowers.

Thats an 'ok' price IF the mower is in like new shape....I mean like barely been used shape. I bet ya the mower retailed for no more than $1,500 new. You will hate the gas tank, it only holds 2 gallons. Parts for these mowers are very easy to get AND these mowers are very easy to work on if you should ever have a problem with it. The Briggs engine...nothing fancy. However, because of the design of these mowers, you could buy a Kawasaki or Kohler and install it with no problems at all if/when that Briggs craps out.

Ransomes manufactures Bob-Cat mowers. Heard of Bob-Cat before? This Ransomes would be the same thing. I have an old 80's 36" Ransomes which I'm restored 2 years ago. I looking to sell it for $500-600. How about you drive 1000+ miles to Kansas and I'll give you a deal?

I'd keep looking. You have some time before you start mowing up there. I bet you'll find a better deal than that. Either that or offer them like $650.00 and see what they say.

You probably saw that 32" encore pro on ebay for $800 starting bid. I don't know how far that is from you but that would be a better mower than the one your looking at. I picked up a 36" exmark that was early 90s model last summer for $500 on ebay. It's just like looking for a job, its all about being in the right place at the right time. Good luck! You'll find one.

One day I was playing around on ebay, as I often do, and I stumbled upon a 2002 Exmark Metro 36" with only 40 hours which wasn't but 2 hours from me. The best part was it didn't have many bids. I decided I couldn't pass it up and I ended up with the winning bid of only $1300! BTW, 36" metros retail for $2600.

Keep looking. Sooner or later you'll find one close to you of a better value.
