New Accounts?

Hey guys, I am just starting out right now with a simple one man operation and would like to know how hard is it right now to obtain new accounts this late in the season? I know it depends where you are and the market, but do people generally respond to fliers and newspaper ads pretty consistently? By the way I am located in the south and the market here is fairly saturated but not overly. Any help is appreciated.

my opinion is that people if they dont have a lawn service now they dont have a lawn and chances are the people have contracts
