  • Getting commercial lawn accounts.

When is the best time of the year to solicit commercial accounts?

What is the best way to solicit commercial accounts? Walk in face to face, Phone calls or mass mailing.

Do you find most commercial accounts like to pay a flat monthly fee or pay monthly as services are provided?

    Thanks for any comments.

Any time is a Good Time!

Any time is a good time promoting your business to commercial accounts.

Plus keep an eye on them & when they are looking bad, it's time to check back with them.

Look at each account as an individual job & figure in as many different things as possible.

    You've probably read this...
Lawn and landscape business owners discuss and share all matters relating to the operation and growth of a business including marketing, advertising, insurance, taxes, employees, bidding, estimating and more.

If all else fails, ask what their operating budget is & try to Tailor your services to fit their needs?

If all else fails ask them what the winning bid was?

Remember it never hurts to ask!

Just remember a lot of commercial accounts is common place to be 30 to 90 days late paying you.

I got a buddy that has a $10,000 plus a month account for over 5 years now & they average 3 months behind. Sometimes he gets extra work & it can go over $20,000 total for that months services & you get it 90 days later...

This is all part of doing commercial accounts & there's plenty more.
