    Well im gonna do the direct mailing postcard thing again first or second week of April.
    Hopefully seeing them in their mailbox a second time will do some good.
    I guess iv been spoiled at how easy it is each fall to get plow customers.But more people get plowed then mowed i spose.

    And with all this walkin handin out flyers iv been doin.....i should look into gettin a paper route..kill 2 birds with one stone!

      Wow may 10th seems a bit late.Mowing usualy starts around end of April and this year probly earlier with the lack of snow.However they are calling for below average temps for the next week or 2.

        you may think may 10th maybe late,but you say things start to roll arouind late april by may 10th the scabs have pisted off about 15 customers each and the people who drag there feet are on a roll,same here things start to roll late march and by late april im swamp things already are looking alot better this year for me due to the drought we had last year.

          I checked into doing the postcard mailings again like some of you suggested.The only dayes they have available are march 27 or April 24th.
          One seems to early the other too late.I hate to spend another $500 if there going to be ineffective.

          What do you guys think on those dates?

              Personally, I'd take them both. You have to get your name in front of a person 7 times before they remember it and each time you mail, you're going to pick up more customers. 1 customer per mailing should pay for the mailing over the course of the season. We're still getting calls off door hangers we put out last year. Signed one up yesterday that I hung last August.

              My method has been to focus on a small geographic area (though it does have @ 60k homes in it) and market the same people over and over. We put out 10k - 20k door hangers a month targetting the same neighborhoods and get the same response pretty much every time. This game is all about timing for that particular customer, not timing in general. The 5 you got so far you wouldn't have gotten if you'd waited another month and whatever you get in March, you won't get if you wait until April.
