Help For The New Guy

I've been asked to give a bid on a local company. This is my first year mowing commercially and I need some help. I don't want to over bid and lose this chance, but I want to make money. This company has aprox. 12 - 15 acers with minimal mulching, a lot of weed eating, and many obsticals to mow around. The land is mostly flat with two fairly steep hills. Right now I am figuring around $400.00 per week. Does this sound about right?? Too high, too low?? Any suggestions??

Procedures: Weekly
Lawn will be clear of all debris: litter, sticks. Mow Lawn, Weed whipped, and blow down all walks and driveways, haul away clippings and leaves as needed.

Procedures: Monthly
Keep rock and mulch planting beds, free of weeds. Keep clean boarder edge around all trees and planting beds. All trees and shrubs shall be trimmed 2 times a season (spring and fall).Maintenance all plantings, annuals and groundcovers.

Procedures: Yearly:
Spring Clean up Includes: Clean out all planting and mulch and rock, of any debris including old landscape waste, litter, leaves ECT. Do a major trimming of all trees and shrubs if necessary. Re-shape all rock and mulch beds, power mow the entire lawn short to promote new growth, haul away waste.

Fall clean up: Do a major clean up property making sure all leaves are clear from turf, mulch and rock beds, and shrubs. Cut the lawn ½ inch shorter to prevent any fungal disease to develop over the winter.

Id be around 3200 per month

Commercial Fall Clean-Up: Average Pricing for 2006- 466 Per Acre
Commercial Mowing- Average 121 Per Acre

With 15 Acres You could do better on the mowing price per acre and be somewhere around PTL's Price. For the clean-up I wouldn't budge to far from that because that Includes dumping fees.

Residential Mowing- 67.24 Per Acre
Residential Clean-Up- 383 Per Acre
