  • Please Help With Pricing Leaf Vacuuming/Shredding

I have a customer who asked me to rake oak leaves for him. I'd rather save my arms than rake the leaves. I had thought about using a lawn vacuum but I am not sure what to quote him. I was thinking charging him the same as a lawn mowing job. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Welcome back. Hopefully you own a good bp blower and a bagging mower... right? Most of us 'round here charge approx. 3x what a regular mow/trim/blow would cost.

i.e. A $45 mow, trim and blow will cost that customer $135 for ME to clean it up.

Clean up/leaf removal is a pain in the azz butt the $$ is right. Not a lot of LCOs here do it anymore but I do. It is dirty, laborious and hauling off yard material sucks therefore 3x regular mowing rate.

Thanks for you help. That sounds like a winner to me. I can live with that price and considering the fact that this type of service is not offered by LCO's in my neck of the woods my customer can appreciate my bid. I've done work before for this guy and I know he can pay my fee. Again thanks for relying promptly.
