Does it have to be trimmed or roundup around the headstones? Or are they flat so you can mow over them?

Lots and lots of trimming... I've never done one, but there is a cemetery next to the one my dad's buried at that wasn't being maintained, and after walking around it I probably would have to think twice, and charge triple.

charge by the headstone $1 and up depending on how much work and how they want it to look

I choose to stay away from these jobs and also city projects. They tend to be more of a headache then they are worth.

I looked at the cemetery yesterday. They would have to be trimmed around, the headstones that is.But they are very far apart so almost the whole thing could be ridden, then trimmed after.
Normally i would probly stay away from such a job but i need the work and iv been told the local church is waiting to see who does the cemetry then they will want the same company.so theres potential for some good money here.

Iv just never bid such a job before and id hate to be way out in left field with my bid .

Ask for the bid sheet and a copy of the winning bid for last year.

I just bid on 5 cemetery and some township property.
Six bids, I was the high bidder, so they threw out my bid. The second highest bidder got it. We were the only two of the six bidders at the twp. meeting.

Please tell me where you can find a church to pay a $1 or more per stone. I know you're getting old Mac, but really , not over a buck per stone.

Will they really tell you the amount they paid last year?
