  • Jack D: Exmark question

    Jack:

Is mulching w/doubles possible with a 36" TTHP/15hp? I know it may not be ideal, but it is worth doing (if buying a new engine [17hp] was out of your price range)? I may sell my ex-partner the Metro shell for $1200. That would give me (including engine costs) about $2200 towards the TTHP. I'm OK with having to slightly struggle the worst week or two of spring, but will it handle moderate early summer growth OK? Come 2 or 3 weeks I'm just not gonna have the extra $1k to upgrade to 17hp.

Do you know how much (average cost; I know it probably differs slightly among dealers) the Exmark micro-mulch is? I can't find prices anywhere online.

Jack D. needed 17hp/36" to mulch this in 1 pass w/no clumping. The 15hp would require 2 passes, possibly 3, all at different heights. Jack D. has a 19hp/36" w/Donaldson cooking for spring.

What is Jack D's view of the Toro 36" 15HP fixed deck hydro with Turbo Force Deck. I am considering this unit (with pistol grips of course) Will it mulch very well in Spring growth, or perhaps later in the seaqson for mulching ie: does the 15HP Kaw with Turbo Force deck make a difference?

      thanks

            Grass Pulvirizer.

Similar to blade set-up on passenger side except solid foil low lifts.
