  • How to mark objects in the yard?

I am worried about hitting a tree stump or root. What would you put up to avoid this.
    orange spray paint
    reflector light stake

Also anything else that is could damage my mower that is hard to see when the grass is tall. I was not worried about this until i just bought a new lazer?

How about the little flags that they use to make gas lines, etc. Use those at least until you get familiar with the yard. I like the idea of flush cutting the stump or if you want a little extra money offer to grind it out.

I used to put flags down next to a couple of steel pipes sticking about 3" out of the ground at one of the apts I do, but they were always gone when I came back so I gave up on them, and just try to remember... I forgot about a stump in a yard I did today, and got quite a jolt when the wheel hit it... Didn't hit it with the blades though.

I always felt that on a new prop that you needed to trim first to get a feel of the land!

The problem with mowing to close to it is, that's how you hit stuff.

I tried the flags & it didn't work because they are too easily moved. I also would be afraid to spray paint them too.
