Is that the 44??? $3600??? Cub must have their site screwed up or something is wrong with the RZT-50... The other residential Zs have 20 or 23HP Kohlers, and the 50" RZT 50 has a 22 HP Kaw, and is listed at $2999 MSRP. 'Course the Kohler models look like they are built tougher with more steel and less plastic bits. Ohhhh... The Kaw model I see only get 5.5 MPH... Odd for a dual hydro (at least they call it a dual hydro).

You really want that free trimmer don't you???

I'm still looking at the Cub Commercial Z-Wing 48

but it just doesn't look sturdy enough to me (although I haven't actually seen one in person... just judging by pics)... The M-48 Tank I like a lot...

Wish they'd build a folding deck for the Tanks. They do have 3 year commercial warranties, so even with the Z-wing I'd get service.

Nothing says "built like a bad a$s" better than a Cub Cadet.

is'nt that a home owner model? If it is the one I have seen at Lowes then they seem built with the homeowner in mind not the professional 8 hr a day 7 days a week. kinda like Ryobi string trimmers. I hope it works for you. shoal

How's it built??? It looks kinda cheap in their pic, but I haven't seen one in person. I heard there was a problem with the deck wing hinge sticking on the early ones... Any problems with yours??? I'm really wanting to go look at one. I'd only need one mower for all my jobs but one, and could put my Snapper ZTR away as a back up.

I hope that you are all joking about that Cub Cadet.... that thing would break after 3 hours of use by my employees. The best small ZTR on the market.... John Deere Z-Trak 717a. That is a machine that is built like a tank. In the last 3 years we have done nothing but regular service on ours.

The one MM posted is a cheap Tractor Supply residential model... He likes joking around by saying he's gonna buy a fleet of residential riders, and get a bunch of those free Ryobi trimmers they are giving away with a Cub riding mower purchase.

The 2 I posted are dead serious... The Cub Cadet Commercial line are built. I've seen the Tanks, and they really are built like one... I've also heard dozens of users feedback on these (on another forum I occasionally visit), and are supposed to be some really good Zs... Again... The two I posted are NOT Cub residential... Cub Commercial is a completely different animal.

For those not familiar... The Cub Commercial Z-Wing 48 has a surprise... At the flip of a switch the 2 outside wings of the deck rise up to 90 degrees making the entire mower 35.5" wide to fit through gates or save trailer space. BTW... It does this without relieving belt tension so no belt falling off while the wings are up. Narrow gate access without sacrificing deck size.

Yes, Jeff is correct. I joked around claiming I was in love with that Home Depot mower. It got an interesting thread going. I call it Riff Raff education....I just have weird ways of going about it.

Couldn't be worse than my Snapper 44 on slopes... The tires are an inch narrower though, and I see what you mean about speed. It's 1 MPH slower than my Snapper using the same HydroGear BDP 10 pumps. The Tank 48 is getting close to Dixie speeds at 12 MPH with the BDP-12s, but I'm still liking the folding deck... Oh well probably won't be able to afford a new Z till next year anyway. I'm still debating whether to buy a new one or just change out the engine on mine, but I'm leaning towards new so I'll have a backup.
