.....carrying liability insurance, paying your taxes, AND employing workers WITHOUT carrying workmans comp and/or NOT witholding taxes DOES NOT consitute your business as a legitiment one.
Sorry, I get sick and tired of people, namely one person (but I won't say whom), who says they run a legit business but yet they employ under-the-table workers.
Get er straight.
Lets hope:
#1) you never get audited by the IRS (cause they will question all your huge expenses)
#2) one of your 'employees' never gets hurt on the job (cause you will be faced with HUGE medical bills, maybe even HUGE 'employee' compensation)
#3) one of your 'employees' doesn't shoot a rock through your customers window (cause I'm sure your liability insurance will refuse to pay)
#4) your 'employee' doesn't ask you at the end of the year why he or she received a 1099 (even if you do that) and ask what the hell it means (cause your "employee" will be PI$$ED when they find out they themselves will now have to scrunge up money to pay their taxes.....and hope they don't report you)
