  • Need labor help.....

I've been a "one-man show" up to this point. Now I am just about at my max for the number of accounts I can do. I've hired a couple of guys in the past but it seems no one can make it past a week or two before they quit. While I want to continue expanding the company, I can't without additional man power. For you guys who've past this stage, any suggestions? What is the proper way to add people to the company? What advertising methods, etc.

That is a long hard process. It took me two years to finally find people that I can trust, and they just happen to be brothers. One works with me cutting and doing landscape projects and the other does brick pavers and outdoor fire places for me.

How much are you hoping to pay your employees?

Depending on experience, I am thinking about $8-$9/hr. The main responsibility would be line trimming and blowing.

I'm in the same boat and hope to find a reliable employee soon as it gets harder to keep turning down the work that you know would make it possible to pay a decent wage for an employee, I just keep asking anybody that looks like they may know someone. Next step will be the classifieds.

Here is your ad copy. Put it in your local 'nickle' paper.
