Cutting time question???

I cut my larger larwns (weekly), First week is 12-6...Look on a clock it up and down...then next week its 3-9...then the third week is either 11-4 or 7-2..Does anyone think that there is a time difference in the way you cut??? (Example) I cut a large postage stamp house 3-9...It takes 20 minutes..(Forget about edging and blowing..I am talking just cut time)..I then cut the next week and it takes maybe 3 minutes longer...I am not sure If I have more turns or what.. I know it all comes down to math...and I hate math...So anyone ever thought about this??? Would love to hear your thoughts...

well, think about a 100 ft by 25 ft lawn, it you are cutting in the direction of the 100ft path, you will only turn a few times, compared to going the 25ft way, you will be turning a lot more.

Depends on the lawn - usually 12-6, 9-3 are the quickest.

i personally like 7-2 it may take marginally longer but i think the more professional look adds curb appeal. But you need to know when to do it and when to just mow 9-3 like normal.

Why not just say horizontal, vertical or diagonal? How does 3-9 calculate horizontal and so on? I'm not in the green industry but curious as to the numbers.

When you look on a clock 3 and 9 are horizontal from each other, 12 and 6 are vertical from each other, and so on.....

I rotate them around as well. That way if I'm in a hurry I can cut it back & forth do be done faster. Diagonals definately take longer. Think about all the turning.

I'm sure this has ruined a few good men! People should explain themselves more so that others can follow?

I use digital time & another reason I'm glad I don't cut anymore. Which way do I cut?
