Sod ?

Ok i figured out that my sod will cost 150 dollars that is for about 1 1/2 pallets of sod. The total of the sf of the yard is close to 700 sq ft. What kind of time are we looking at to lay that and what is the going rate per ft / yard / pallet or whatever. Another question... is a yard of sod mean its a sq yard = 9sf because from what i remember it looks more like about 3 or 4 sf
