  • 5 days of steady rain...

what's a man to do? it's been raining since saturday, it may end tonight, leaving thurs, fri, and sat to cut grass. alot will go uncut. the phone will ring...ring....ring...." this is mr smith, i hope you're comming today, the lawn really needs it." ya, ok mr smith, am i to assume it wasn't raining at your house? they all think they are gonna be first. guess what, some of them, won't be first, or last, or anywhere in between, it's just the nature of the beast. do i really need to return thier calls, and explain to them that it has been raining for 5 days strait? i think not. opinions

    Dry enough for scaping though?

Perhaps you should be honest and inform them you've had a few "emergency situations" arise? Sounds legit...right? Little do they know it's emergency landscaping.

sir, are you not aware that , rain or shine, one can easily plant shrubbery + put in mulch/stone? however, 5 days of rain may- make some properties unaccesible(puddling/rutting, etc.) not to mention just an overall messy situation trying to mow sopping wet grass. you are obviously trying to discredit me, let me remind you, you are outclassed, and don't stand a chance. it would be the same as, running a donkey in the kentucky derby, and thinking the donkey, actually has a chance to win

If it was raining, you really are the Superman I thought you were for moving 6 yards of soaked topsoil in 3 hours while raining. Especially being able to spread it out!

Im in a similar situation here only its supposed to rain Saturday too giving me about 2 and half days to cut a weeks worth of lawns. I just plan on going down the list and doing what i can, not everybody will get cut this week unless a miracle happens. I know which ones grow extra fast and ill try to get to them first. Once Sunday comes around im not answering my phone if they didnt notice its been raining for days they got bigger problems.

LOL. I'm no short sighted fool, of coarse I know you can plant shrubs and such rain or shine.

I said what I did because it was just yesterday you bragged up moving and leveling all that topsoil. That would have been day number 4 of a "steady rain"?

              Somethings not right, please elaborate.

I lost Monday and Tuesday due to rain. Today they got cut wet or dry so I could keep some kind of schedule for the week. Tomorrow I hope to make more head way. Hopefully by Friday I'll be caught up before the rain starts again. If not, Monday starts a new week. No phone calls yet, but they may call wanting them done since it is a holiday weekend. Time will tell. Can't keep them all happy no matter how hard you try. Some think we should work 24/7.
