  • whats your biggest tip??

Whats the biggest tip you have recieved lawnmowing or landscaping ???

Most of my lawns are $50 and under, quite often if its $40 people give me $50 note and say do not worry about the change, today a lady gave me $70 for a $50 job which is the most i have got, i should point out in Australia its not expected to give tips for any service, so its quite nice to get, whats your biggest.....oh and yesterday some one gave me an old trailer and a bar fridge(sold his house)...for nothing so include anything of value some one has given you.

The biggest tip I have ever gotten as a LCO came from this forum.....get annual contracts! Far superior to $20 here, $50 there, and other peoples junk......

Earlier this year I got a crazy tip from a residential customer. It's a longer story that I decided not to tell at the time, but maybe I should have. No tip will ever come close to that.

But other than that, we just billed monthly, so only on occasion would someone put a $20 tip on the entire bill. We also sell firewood in the winter and so we collect on delivery and do get more tips at that time. Usually $10 or so when they give one. Sometimes $20. The guys delivering it will split it up of course.

Biggest here is $20.00 but I give 100 percent of the tips to my co-worker. I already make what I want on the job. Make my helper very happy. When he is happy I am LOL

Oh BLOODY hell....GM needs to interfere.

Anywho - I used to get tips, even got kolledge graduation 'gifts' from a few customers, but upon graduation it seems my customers now think I'm no charity case???? I haven't received a tip in quite some time.

A bartender working at Applebees in Hutchison Kansas received a $10,000 tip just last week. Must be nice.

Best non-monetary tip I ever received happened today. A family with a deloyed father in Iraq (whom I've been mowing their lawn for free - the greencare program) handed me a thank you card today. That card was better than a $200 check.
