Lateral Lines

I've got a customer that I added late last season who has lateral lines coming from their home. The only thing that grows on their 3 acre lot is this small area (15K sqft.) However--this stuff is out of control if I only come every other week. They live out in the country and only want it mowed every other week. Can I recommend something for them to buy to put on that section to slow the growth down? They are willing to purchase and apply it themselves, but I don't have any experience with this kind of stuff.

Andersons Golf Products has a product called Governorâ„¢. It is granular and is a turf growth regulator. I do not know if it is available to the general public or if it is restricted to golf courses. It's based on Primo which may or may not be restricted in the same ways.
