  • Wanna Hear Something Crazy???

Still very dry here. We had a little bit of rain last week I think, but that's it.

Many residential lawns are going......11 WEEKS......since the last cutting!

If we don't get rain this week, I can see some going to the 3 month mark.

Unreal. We have been keeping busy with installs though.

OH, and it's normally suppose to be 72 degrees. We are still in the 90's and dry. 92 tomorrow.

    We are all gonna die!!!

Yeah very weird. Just read they stopped the Chicago Marathon today because of record heat (88-previous was 84). One runner died and 250 taken to hospitals.

That 2 weeks of rain we got a while back really helped us out or we'd probably be close to your condition.

Are you looking at a lot of restoration next spring as a result?

been getting dry here. It's October and I've been workin w/out a shirt lol, can't ever remember that. How are some of the mow-only companies doing in your area, that's gotta be killing them.

In some ways, a prolonged drought is good.

As I said in another one of your threads bout this deal......

.......scrub eradication. They've all been employed at McDonalds by now.

I just went back and checked.

It's October 9th and the residential lawns we care for have been mowed 10-11 times all year so far.

This must be hurting the strictly residential companies I would think.

I've been doing a lot of installs. No sprinklers.

The past 2 weeks have been extremely busy. Actually more busy than spring time. No grass cutting though.

So how's your fertilizer working out this year? I'd assume that has been cut back was well?

alarm goes off at 630AM. Woke up to the sound of pouring rain (anybody tell me what song that lyric is from? ). Got up at 8 then and watched some Saved by the Bell, o yeah.... Went around to a few suppliers and stuff today as it poured all day. Grass is so green again.
