a lot of businesses in my neck of the woods use those. i've even thought about it, but at the price its still much cheaper to use stamps and do the work yourself.

70 invoices??? that isn't a lot, or at least i don't think so. unless your waiting and trying to do all 70 in one evening.

i send invoices based on the last mowing day of the month for my clients. so just to make it easy lets say i had 60 clients (10 a day). i'd be doing 10 invoices a nite, drop them in the mail on my way to my first place in the morning.

now is that worth buying one of those for??????

that wasn't my point because where i'm from you own the machine. you pay monthly for the postage. but between the cost of the machine and the postage its alot cheaper to just lick the damn stamp and put it on the envelope.

I used to use Stampsdotcom for a couple of years. If you sign up and then call to cancel you can get them to drop the monthly fee to $4.95.
It prints as fast or slow as your printer will so its probabply much slower than aPitney machine, but it looks professional. You print the whole envelope, Return address, mailing address and postage at the same time.

you don't lick any stamps if you have one of those machines. they print an ink stamp on the envelope. at least all the one's i've seen.

didn't check the link just yet but you could be right. i always assumed businesses owned them and paid some kind of monthly service to use it. kind of like the internet......
