  • woods commerical walk behind mower

I found a used 32 or 36" woods commercial walk behind at the Echo dealer for $500 that is in good condition. Has anyone used a commercial walk behind or have any information on them.

    Thanks

I never knew woods made walkbehind mowers? Their front mount riders used to be made by Grasshopper, but that was 10++ years ago now. Since then Woods makes their own stuff (I believe).

As for any walkbehind, belt drives take some muscle to maneuver and certianly don't make running them "fun" A hydro drive is a lot easier to operate.

Yes I've used commercial walk behinds. What other information on them are you wanting to know?

i personally stay away from brands i don't recognize. i don't trust them no matter what anyone says. if i've never heard of the brand and woods is one i've never heard of, i'm stearing clear.

as for walkbehinds in general i recommend hydro and floating deck. those are the 2 most important things for me when purchasing a walkbehind. like yardrat said, if it's belt/gear driven run, dont' walk like hell.

I'm going to agree with Spotty on this one. Just be glad it is not a eXmark.

Woods has been around a long time, Woods has given people the power to be more productive since 1946, when Leonard, Keith, and Mervel Wood built the first tractor-mounted rotary cutter.
