How Long Will It take You To Cut 100 Houses

Just want to know how long do you think it will take some of you guys to cut 100 houses all in the same Subdivision with the lot sizes being 15000 sq ft and under.

I have done 26 in 6 hours with a crew of 4 all in the same subdivision That includes myself. My brother and I were on the riders and I just had the truck come behind us and weed eat & Blow
we rode the whole sub division without putting the mowers back on the trailer

Why couldn't you justifiably say 24 hours, or 3 days?

All of the yards are fenced so you need the 34" FOR ABOUT 25 OF THE HOUSE THE REST COULD BE DONE WITH THE 48" AVERAGE ON THE WEEDEATING AROUND THE HOUSE AND EDGING THE DRIVEWAYS OH AND ALSO WEED EATING THE FENCE LINE
.I WAS THINKING MAYBE 2 1/2 10 HOUR DAYS AT THE MOST. oH AND THATS INCLUDES THE TIMES WHEN ITS REALLY HOT DOWN HERE AND WE ARE WORKING A LITTLE SLOWER BECAUSE OF THE HEAT.

I think you all are way over estimating the time. Almost all of our contracts are maintenace free neighborhoods. One neighborhood in particular has 122 yards in it. All yards are between 10000 to 15000 square foot and some corner lots being double that size. We also cut the entrance and a few common areas in it.

With a four man crew, my guys finish this neighborhood in 9 to 10 hours. 1 day. At first it will take you longer but if you cut the same pattern every time you and the guys will have it down pack with in 3 cuts.

You have to figure out the most productive way to cut and use your men for that particular neighborhood.

Not sure, what kind of 36 & 48 rider? And the trimming with all fenced yards. That's a lot of trimming/line.

I'm thinking 5-7 mins per house w/ all 4 guys on each property. Both riders on the props even if the gates are big enough for 48. A w/b with a sulky might be faster on this many smaller houses overall cuz you don't have to 3pt turn. I think it could be possibly done in a day, a VERY long day maybe. If not, 1.5 days max. Also, bagging, double cutting?

The only thing that might throw off my estimate, is the amount of trimming. Make sure your blades are SHARP so you can be hauling a$$ across them lawns. Then again, I'd be trying to run my 61"zs if possible. I don't run anything smaller, except a 36" w/b. So my times might be a little faster. I think you definitely should be able to finish in under two days.

Well, I don't have as much experience with the properties like that as the other guys. But...

My yard is similar in size to what you describe. With my 52 Exmark TT I can get the whole thing cut, trimmed, and edged in 40 minutes by myself. Things definately go faster with a few guys and I bet you could get that time down to 30 total minutes which would be 7.5 minutes X 4 guys working.

It seems to me that if it takes you 6 hours to do 26 props, even after discounting off time moving from house to house on your mower...funny sight I'm sure... you're still averaging almost 1 man-hour per house. Assuming that you maintain this pace you're making $22 on a 15k yard. Yikes.

Anyway, I'm with Highlander...If these houses are all in a row and no travel time I bet you could do it 1.5 days. After labor/expenses you should clear maybe a grand a week?
