xtreemgreen makes an excellent point.
i offer 2 diff. types of SCU's.
clients either have the option of paying $35 per man hour to have me remove the remaining fall leaves from there mulch beds and lawn. or i can blow out the mulch beds on the first visit and cut the lawn with a bagger.
no client i have ever had pays anything diff. for an initial cut. first cuts for new or remaining clients are the same price. the only time it's diff. is the one's that want there lawn bagged.

Depends......if the customer wants you to start later in the year than you normally would or this is a new customer and the grass is twice as high as it would be normally, then yes I charge at least double. If they want it bagged then it's about triple of a normal cut. Serves their ass right for waiting so long. But, if you're starting late on your on accord, then, it's normal price.

how do you justify that? when i bag a yard at normal height i charge according to size. average yards that normally would be $30 are charge $35 to bag. but certianly NOT double or triple. sure it takes extra time to bag but not so much to justify a double or triple charge IMO.

Hello..............................
that's why you have to work in the winter at another job. get tough and make this thing a living or continue on like you are. $5.00 to bag a yard is crazy.........Originally posted by spotremix View Posttriple???

Because... I build value into my sales pitch, that's why. I'm not doing this for beer money. I am not looking to just get by with my rent or house payment. I have said many times on this site that I am probably one of the highest priced lcos in my area if not the highest....and damn proud of it. We deliver exceptional, no excuses service. If you want us, you're damn well gonna pay. End of story.Originally posted by spotremix View Posttriple???
