how do you guys sharpen your blades

i actually have my dad do it. he enjoys it and i don't quiet have the nack for it yet. i'm learning but he does a much better job.

i have 2 sets of blades for each mower so my blades get sharpened every other day.

oh and he uses a bench grinder.

how can you cut grass on a daily basis with out sharpening the blades??? i have change my blades daily so i have a fresh set every day.

i can't imagine not sharping them at least weekly and still get quality cuts.

I bring my air compressor and impact gun along with my generator and bench grinder so i can zap those babies off and sharpen them 5 times for each yard....

My customers are very picky and deserve the best and i charge $3000 pr 5000 sq ft mowed.... They gladly pay because as i said my blades are kept sharp and the grass looks like AstroTurf painted lawn green its so perfect.....

That's what you gotta do to make the big bucks like Sodbuster tranny......

Yesterdays take cutting 4 high end lawns total of 5 minutes work with sharp blades.....

I only woulda made 40 grand , maybe even less( not even worth getting outa bed) "if" the blades weren't sharp , but i do it right the 1st time ......

Ohhh he just complimented the money potential i showed........ I take everything back now, but now he reminded me last week he came out of nowhere saying he had more money in his pocket then i was worth.....:laughing:

I call it like I see it. Sometimes we change a blades twice a day, but then you have do that when you mow 25+ yards a day per crew if you don't want the blades of the grass torn.

If he knows it's tearing the grass and keeps mowing anyway without a spare set of sharp blades, what would you call it or him. I would light my guys up if they did that chit.
