i have 48in walk behind (gravely belt driven) got some gator blades but they hit in 2 spots anyone else have this going on. the blades are the right size dont know what to do????? 161/4

check each blade for length. i got a set last year that had one blade about a 1/4" longer than the other two.

These guys are right. I worked in a factory that produced some mower blades on the side. I can tell you that the tolerances were HUGE. Length tolerance was +/- 1/4 of an inch. Width was +/- 1/8 inch. Diameter was punched with correct punch and die but still had a tolerance of 1/16 with center tolerance of 1/16 (wobble wobble wobble!!) I will tell you these blades went to SEARS and a couple other large companies, but cannot disclose the name brand. Gators weren't done there I can say that.
When measuring your blade do so by checking from cutting edge point to cutting edge point. Also if the blade is off the mower, check the hole for center and correct diameter. Measure from left edge of hole to left edge of blade, then right edge of hole to right edge of blade. They should be the same. Then again from front edge of hole to front of blade then back edge of hole to back edge of blade. They should be the same. Hope my useless, past work knowledge is of help to you.
