  • Fall Clean Up

Just out of curiosity, what do you guys typically offer in the way of a fall clean up service? Also, how do you price it, by job or by hour? This is my first fall in the business and am looking for some advice.

Usually by the job. We've been doing them 7-8 years, don't do em cheap, it is hard work. We use bp blowers, walkbehind mowers with baggers, wb blowers, & a truck loader on our dump truck. Good luck.

Its the time of the year I hire a few helpers, currently at 2 the one guy is really good. I charge the customer by the hour per person @ $35.00, so 1 hour at property is $105.00. if we can we mulch up and blow into wooded areas, if not mulch and use the bagger on the mower to get them into bags. 2BP Blowers, Exmark mower with gator blades and a Billygoat push Blower. Works out really well, and have never had any complaints about the amount of time we are at a house. "One time at band camp a customer complained, I then proceded to do as someone on here does and Fired them the next season" got my money though....... Most of my customers I also do Gutter Cleaning and get on the roof before thanksgiving or after most of the leaves have fallen and blow them out before doing the yard, saves a little time and its an extra $45.00 to tack onto the bill for only 10 minutes of extra work.

if your a regular client i continue to come weekly and mow the leaves up with a bagger for the cut charge plus a bagging charge.

anyone else i use a walkbehind blower and a BP blower and charge $35 per hour.

i just run the mower over the lawn with a bagger attached. dump the bagger when its full into my truck.

most of my FCU's come from regular clients so i just service there property on a weekly basis. if needed i'll blow the leaves out of the mulch beds before mowing up the leaves.

if your not a regular client i usually don't use my mowers. i'll show up with a backpack blower, a walkbehind blower and an open trailer with sidewalls. start at the backyard and work my way towards the front. sometimes tarping the back to the front if there to thick to make it that far with the blowers.
